IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique 15-digit code assigned to every
mobile device. It identifies your exact phone model worldwide and is used for warranty lookups,
activation checks, and lost/stolen registries.
The first 8 digits are the TAC (Type Allocation Code), which tells manufacturers and
databases which brand and model the device is. The remaining digits are the serial portion and a check digit.

Why check IMEI before buying a used phone?
Stolen or financed phones can be blocked by carriers. A quick IMEI check helps you avoid costly mistakes
before you pay. Here is what a check can help you verify:
Blacklist / lost-stolen registry status
Carrier lock and SIM-lock status
Find My iPhone / iCloud activation indicators
Model, storage, color, and serial number
Warranty and purchase date (when available)
We provide informational reports for buyers — we do not modify device records,
carrier accounts, or locks.
